I Had A Great Time Of Ministry - 1783 Words

Philippians 2:1-4: It’s Not About You Let s take our Bibles and turn to Philippians chapter 2 as tonight we will begin looking at the first four verses looking at spiritual unity looking at the local church. Intro: I had a great time in the DR as I said it was my first mission’s trip and went with my church from back home, many people that I love and care for deeply. In fact, my mentor was there, a pastor who I have known over these past six years who mentored and discipled me. It was a great time of ministry, we did a lot of evangelism and it was a great time of ministry for us there in the DR. When we first began ministry in the cities and villages they would not allow us to come in and now because of our relationships and what we have done for them, they not only allow us to come in, but we can sit down and share the gospel with them. They are very open and receptive and now they have planted a church in one of the villages and there is a pastor. Even though it is small they said since the church had been planted there was many changes within the villagers, people are nicer, people help them out. You can see the impact that s been done since we started ministry there 3 years ag o. So we praise God for that. Tonight we want to look at Philippians 2 and I said we are going to be studying spiritual unity within the local church. This is a very significant problem today in our churches--a lack of unity. And we have to ask ourselves why that is?
